Topic 1: To solve the traffic problems, some people believe that punishments are important. But there are also ideas about other solutions like road improvements. What is your opinion?

Topic 2: Medical service: free or not?

How to write an INTRODUCTION

1.      Identify General topic:– the first sentence : Câu đầu tiên trong phần mở đề nói về chủ đề chung đang được đề cập đến.

Should use long sentence or complex sentence.

Ex:

-          There is no denying that / No one can deny that traffic problems are a constant headache in many countries all over the world these days.

2.      Paraphrase or use synonym to cite the topic: Trích dẫn lại đề bài bằng cách dùng các từ đồng nghĩa hoặc thay đổi cấu trúc câu.

Ex:

-          In other to solve these problems, some people think / believe / maintain that we should have stricter punishments / penalties while others claim other solutions / ways / methods should be considered / take into account.  ---> avoid words repetition.

-          Some people suggest that punishments are necessary; However, a few other methods like road improvement should be considered.

3.      Thesis statement: câu định hướng

-          This essay will discuss both views / points of views / attitudes / opinions before I present my view point.

A complete Introduction:

It is a fact that costly medical service is really a burden to many people especially the poor these days. While some people claim that such service should be free / available without charge, others maintain it / this can lead to some negative effects / influences / impacts. This essay will discuss / examine both attitudes before a reasoned conclusion is found.

BODY: analyze

-          Latter view

Former: Some people maintain that heavier / stricter punishments are an effective way to deal with traffic problems. First of all, < collect a large sum of money >

            Stricter punishments are considered as practical solutions by many to make drivers follow the rules. Firstly, the government can get money from those who violating the regulations / breaking the traffic rules and used it in other social activities improving living conditions of people. Moreover, if punished, people will be aware of the precious money they have to submit by working hard.

            In an addition to this, drivers do not dare to violate the regulation...

Latter: However, other people believe / hold a view that other measures / ways / solutions should be taken. Firstly / Initially <improve the road system>. Furthermore, <raise people awareness>.

            However, other people believe that another solution should be taken. Firstly, the government should improve the roads quality. This is because it will be expanded and have more space for vehicles. As a result, the traffic runs more smoothly and no traffic jams anymore. Furthermore, students can study traffic rules at school which helps them aware of how to use the vehicles safely. It seems to be a long term solution, but I strongly believe it can be effective if it can work.

Sample Body:

            Some people hold a view that we should / (it is sensible to ) offer free health care / (medical assistance – service – aid – treatment ) without charge / payment. The main reason is that it can help citizens enjoy better health. This is because if the treatment is expensive, people are not likely to have medical checkups. Therefore, when the diseases is found out, it is usually too late and the cure / ( remedy: phương thuốc, biện pháp cứu chữa) is ineffective. In other words, if all citizens/ people/ civilians ( thường dân ) can get free access to medical services, they have more chances to take care of their health and of course, improve their quality of life.

            However / ( On an opposite angle ), other people are of the opinion that medical service should be charged for the following reasons. First of all, the government will not have enough money to invest in medical fields since / as / because there are other / several no less important fields, such as education and economy which also need investment. Furthermore, it is also claimed that when the service is free, the quality of treatment will go down.

CONCLUSION

Must have one of these expression at the beginning: In conclusion / all things considered / To put it in a nushell.

Ex:

            After all considered, I am in favor of the latter view. The stricter punishments, in my opinion, are insufficient in dealing with / (tackling) traffic problems. Other more practical solutions should be put into operation / carried out.

( To put it in a nutshell, both mentioned points of views have their own pros and con, therefore it is hard to determine which one is more outweighed than the other. As far as I am concerned, this problem needs the combination of all above solutions.)
