the amount of X disease cases during
that time.

In details/ Specifically,
the number of cases started/
stood at about/around/ approximately 100 cases in 1960. After that/ in
the next 10 years/ 10 years later, this number increased double/ twofold(s) before reaching a peak of 500 cases in
1980. In the next 5 years, there was a stability at this
point. Suddenly, the number of cases fell dramatically to zero in 1990. Luckily/ Surprisingly, in the last 5 years, X
disease totally disappeared/ was totally eliminated/ completely disappeared in
